The Rina is Automobili Mignatta's hand-built two-seat sports car, offered as a Barchetta and a Coupe. It runs a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter Ford-sourced V8 tuned to around 500 hp, a six-speed manual gearbox, and a carbon-fiber monocoque weighing about a tonne, with no touchscreens inside. Production is limited to about 30 cars a year, hand-built to order, from $290,000.
Automobili Mignatta
A small Italian coachbuilder founded in 2024 in Valfenera d'Asti, Piedmont, hand-building a retro-styled, screen-free two-seat sports car around a naturally aspirated Ford V8.
Automobili Mignatta is an independent Italian coachbuilder founded in 2024 by José Mignatta and based in Valfenera d’Asti, in Piedmont. The company grew out of JM, a sister business that has spent 25 years working with carbon fiber and composite materials on restomods and components for other automakers, and it leans on that expertise to hand-build its own cars in-house rather than outsource the monocoque.
The brand’s first and, so far, only model is the Rina, a two-seat sports car built in Barchetta and Coupe body styles with a deliberately analog interior - no touchscreens, a six-speed manual gearbox, and a naturally aspirated V8 sourced from Ford. Production runs at roughly 30 cars a year, each built to order.
