GetCarNews ("we", "us") publishes automotive news and model reference pages at getcarnews.com. This page explains what data we collect and how we use it. We keep it short because we collect very little.
What we collect
We do not require accounts and we do not ask you for personal information to read the site. We collect only what is needed to run and improve it:
- Usage analytics. Aggregated, mostly anonymized data about which pages are viewed, rough location (country/region), device and browser type, and how visitors arrive. We use this to understand what to cover next.
- Server and security logs. Our hosting provider records standard request data such as IP address and user agent to deliver pages and protect against abuse.
Email newsletter
Email newsletter. If you subscribe, we collect your email address to send a weekly digest. Your address is stored and processed by MailerLite (an EU provider) acting as our processor; we do not keep a separate copy. You confirm your subscription by email (double opt-in) and can unsubscribe from any email at any time, or contact us to have your data deleted.
Cookies

- Google Analytics - usage measurement.
- Microsoft Clarity - heatmaps and session replay showing how visitors interact with pages, used to spot confusing layouts and improve the site.
- Cloudflare - hosting, content delivery, and security.
- Cloudinary - image and media delivery.
Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising use first- and third-party cookies to capture behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replays of how you use this site, for product improvement, security, and analytics purposes. What we do not do
We do not sell your personal data. We do not show personalized advertising. We do not collect more than is described above.
Your choices
You can disable cookies, use your browser's "do not track" or private modes, and opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on. If you have a question about your data, contact us below.
Children
GetCarNews is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data.
