BAIC Group (Beijing Automotive Group Co., Ltd.) is a state-owned automaker headquartered in Beijing, founded in 1958 and owned by the Beijing municipal government. It ranks among China’s largest carmakers by volume.
The group sells vehicles under its own Beijing brand and the premium EV brand Arcfox, and manufactures the Huawei-linked Stelato brand. BAIC is also the Chinese partner in two major foreign joint ventures, Beijing Benz with Mercedes-Benz and Beijing Hyundai with Hyundai, and holds a majority stake in commercial vehicle maker Foton.
