The Geely EX5 is a compact electric SUV sold in export markets as the global version of China’s Geely Galaxy E5. It uses a single front-mounted motor and Geely’s “Aegis short-blade” lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery technology.
The motor produces 160 kW (218 hp) and 320 Nm, driving the front wheels. Geely quotes 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and a top speed of 175 km/h. Three battery options are offered: 49.52 kWh for 440 km of CLTC range, 60.22 kWh for 530 km, and a newer variant rated at 610 km. All versions support fast charging and add 3.3 kW vehicle-to-load output for powering external devices.
Inside, the EX5 has a 13.8-inch head-up display, a 16-speaker audio system with a separate 1,000 W amplifier, and a panoramic glass roof with 11-stage adjustable shading. Geely cites a 67.2% interior space-utilisation rate for the platform.
The EX5 measures 4,615 mm long, 1,901 mm wide and 1,670 mm tall, on a 2,750 mm wheelbase. It is one of the models Geely is using to expand its electric range in Europe and other right-hand-drive and left-hand-drive export markets.
