BMW has issued two recalls for the iX3, the first car on its Neue Klasse platform. A faulty onboard charger on 145 cars risks electric shock during charging; a separate action covers 4,843 cars over incorrectly fitted side airbags. No injuries reported.
Audi has unveiled the new Q7 on the MLB Evo platform, built in Bratislava. Europe gets a 3.0 V6 turbodiesel with 48V mild hybrid (245 or 299 hp) and quattro; the US gets a 435 hp 2.9 twin-turbo petrol, plus a 600 hp V8 SQ7. Five to seven seats, three displays. Pre-orders from June, from €87,900.
Ford has built a special Bronco with Seattle outfitter Filson, fitting the Bronco Raptor's 418 hp twin-turbo V6, the Sasquatch off-road package as standard, and Filson-trimmed leather. Orders open in fall 2026, deliveries in early 2027.
Mitsubishi has shown the first official photos of the Eclipse Sportback, an electric crossover based on the third-generation Nissan Leaf and built solely for North America. It gets its own bumpers, front fascia and tail-light pattern; the powertrain is undisclosed. Sales start in late summer or early autumn 2026.
Xpeng's flagship six-seat SUV booked 25,000 paid orders within 12 hours of going on sale, with more than 80% of buyers choosing the top Ultra trim. Waiting times have stretched to eight months and Xpeng is restructuring production. The GX spans BEV and EREV powertrains on an 800V platform.
Lotus has launched the Eletre X plug-in hybrid in Europe, sold in China as the Lotus For Me. A 2.0L turbo range-extender with two motors gives 350 km of electric range and up to 952 hp in H1000 form. From €96,990 in Germany, deliveries in Q4 2026.
GM has opened a design studio in Pasadena and shown its first result - the GMC Hummer X concept. Its modular Flex Fab body uses 3D-printed panels, and GMC presented it in both SUV and pickup forms.
BYD has started sales of the Song Ultra DM-i in China. The plug-in hybrid SUV is near-identical to the updated Sealion 06 DM-i - same powertrains, same prices - with up to 310 km of electric range and 1,845 km combined.
AITO has updated the M9, the Huawei-Seres flagship SUV. The car grows in two body lengths and gains a new range-topping Ultimate trim with three motors and 903 hp. EREV and pure-electric powertrains carry over.
Lancia has published the first photos of the Gamma, its new flagship crossover on the Stellantis STLA Medium platform. Full reveal is scheduled for autumn, ahead of the Paris Motor Show.
Mazda has officially confirmed a second-generation CX-3 in its FY2025 financial documents. The current model has been in production since 2014 - longer than any other car in Mazda's current lineup.
Mercedes-Benz has revealed the updated GLE and GLE Coupé. The headline change is a new MBUX Superscreen spanning three 12.3-inch panels. Several four-cylinder engines have been dropped in favour of inline-sixes and hybrids.
Toyota has revealed the updated Yaris Cross for Europe. The facelift brings a new front grille with body-coloured honeycomb inserts, revised LED lighting, and updates to the interior and driver assistance systems. The 1.5-litre hybrid powertrain is unchanged.
SAIC has launched the MG 4X in China. The compact EV SUV uses a semi-solid-state SolidCore battery developed by SAIC Qingtao. Launch price: from 92,800¥ ($13,700).
Wuling has opened pre-orders for the Starlight L in China. The flagship of the Starlight family is a six-seat PHEV SUV, 4,980 mm long, with a 1.5-litre engine, 231 hp electric motor, and 260 km EV range on a 37.9 kWh battery. From 122,800¥ ($18,100).
Li Auto's flagship six-seat EREV SUV moves to an 800V platform and adds steer-by-wire and four-wheel steering. 571 hp, 72.7 kWh battery, 420 km electric and 1,650 km combined CLTC. Two trims - Ultra from ¥459,800, Livis from ¥509,800. On sale in China.
Voyah released official photos of the Passion S - a youth-focused electric crossover with Huawei electronics. Price around 250,000¥ ($36,800). Full premiere expected mid-2026.
The GT variant of the YU7 laps the Nürburgring in 7:22.755 - a record for electric SUVs - on its way to Chinese showrooms at $57,400.
Audi updated the Q4 E-Tron for MY2027. Three variants, two body styles. New: V2L charging (first for an Audi EV), 185 kW DC on 82 kWh variants, merged instrument/multimedia display. Physical climate controls removed. Orders open in Europe from June 2026, from €47,500.
Cadillac announced the Escalade IQL, the long-wheelbase version of the electric IQ. GM Ultium platform, 205 kWh, 800V, 750 hp, ~740 km range (Cadillac estimate). Seven seats, 55" curved display, Super Cruise. From $132,695.
Chevrolet launches the Sonic crossover in Brazil. GM GEM platform, 1.0T 115 hp, 6-speed automatic, FWD. 392-litre boot. Two trims: Premier from R$129,990 (~$25,000), RS from R$135,990.
Lexus revealed the TZ, its first three-row electric SUV. Modified TNGA-K platform, AWD, 408 hp, 95.8 kWh, 530 km WLTP. Six seats. US and Japan late 2026, Europe 2027. Pricing not announced.
NIO's ONVO brand opens orders for the L80, a five-seat electric SUV on the NT 3.0 platform. 85 kWh, 900V, up to 615 km CLTC. RWD 462 hp or AWD 598 hp. Retail from ¥245,800 (~$33,900).
Pre-orders are open for the Renault 4 Plein Sud, a canvas-roof variant of the R4 E-Tech Electric. Electric roof actuator, 92×80 cm opening, same 52 kWh / 409 km WLTP powertrain, 420-litre boot unchanged. From €37,290.
BYD's FangChengBao Tai 7 expands its lineup with new BEV versions, joining the existing PHEV range. Electric variants offer up to 700 hp (AWD), with the largest battery option of 105.7 kWh delivering up to 755 km CLTC. BEV pricing starts from ¥199,800 ($29,400).
Stellantis showed the updated Jeep Avenger in Brazil first. European version expected to look identical. Exterior updates confirmed - interior and powertrain details still unannounced. Full premiere coming soon.
Leapmotor is localizing B05 production at Stellantis's Zaragoza plant in Spain. Currently sold from €26,900 in Europe (imported from China); local production is expected to bring the entry price to around €19,500 after subsidies.

The Geely-based midsize PHEV crossover launched in Kazakhstan through distributor Orbis Auto. Pre-orders opened in February; full sales started in May. FWD only at launch.
