About

Deepal is Changan Automobile’s dedicated new-energy brand, based in Chongqing. It traces back to Changan’s internal new-energy vehicle division, consolidated between 2020 and 2022, and was spun out as an independently branded company in 2023 with the SL03 as its first model.

The lineup mixes battery-electric and EREV (extended-range electric vehicle) models, including the L06 and SL03 sedans, the S05 and S07 compact and mid-size SUVs, and the larger G318. Deepal began exporting outside China in 2023, entering European and other overseas markets alongside Changan’s other new-energy brands, Avatr and the core Changan badge.
