Rolls-Royce
British ultra-luxury carmaker, owned by BMW since 2003 and based at Goodwood. Builds the Phantom, Ghost, Cullinan, and the electric Spectre, all on a shared aluminium spaceframe.
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is the ultra-luxury car business based at Goodwood in West Sussex. It is separate from the Rolls-Royce aero-engine company, and has been owned by BMW since 2003, which supplies engines, electronics, and battery technology while the cars are designed and hand-assembled in England.
The current range, the Phantom, Ghost, Cullinan, and Spectre, is built on a single aluminium spaceframe Rolls-Royce calls the Architecture of Luxury. The Spectre, launched in 2023, was the brand’s first series-production electric car and the first step in a plan to go fully electric by 2030.
Most cars are heavily personalised through the Bespoke programme, and the average transaction price runs far above the list price.
