The BYD Yuan Up is a subcompact electric SUV that sits at the entry point of BYD’s Ocean-series lineup. It measures 4,310 mm long on a 2,620 mm wheelbase and is built on BYD’s e-Platform 3.0. In export markets the same car is sold as the BYD Atto 2.
Power comes from a single front-mounted motor. The base version produces 94 hp and pairs with a 32 kWh Blade battery for 301 km of CLTC range, while the higher version raises output to 174 hp and uses a 45 kWh Blade pack for 401 km. The Blade battery is BYD’s lithium-iron-phosphate cell design, which the company uses across most of its range. Export versions add larger battery options.
The cabin follows BYD’s current design language with a rotating central touchscreen and a digital driver display. The exterior uses the brand’s Dragon Face styling with a full-width rear light bar and a floating roof treatment.
Pricing starts from ¥69,800 in China, positioning the Yuan Up as an affordable family-friendly EV in the small-SUV class.
