Corrections policy
Specifications change after launch, press material contradicts itself, and figures get transcribed wrong. When something here is wrong we would rather hear about it than not.
Reporting an error
Write to us with the page, the figure you think is wrong, and what it should be instead. If you have a source, include it. A link to the manufacturer's own material settles almost every case in a single exchange.

We check the claim against the manufacturer's own specification material, and against the original press release where one exists. If the page is wrong, we correct it. Where two official figures disagree, which happens more often than it should, we say so on the page rather than quietly picking one.
How a correction is marked
A page that has been re-checked carries the date of that check. The date means a person verified the facts on it that day, and nothing else earns it: it does not move for a new photograph, a translation pass, a changed link or a typo. A recent date is therefore a claim about the specifications, not a sign the site has been busy.
