The Fiat Panda is one of Europe’s longest-running city cars, now in its third generation and sold in Italy under the Pandina name. It measures 3,653 mm long, 1,643 mm wide and 1,551 mm tall, keeping the compact footprint that has made it a fixture of Italian city streets since 2003.
Power comes from a 1.0-litre FireFly three-cylinder engine producing 70 hp and 92 Nm of torque, paired with a 12-volt belt-integrated starter generator that enables engine start-stop and light electric assistance. A 5-speed manual gearbox is the only transmission offered, and Fiat quotes combined fuel consumption of around 4.4 l/100 km.
The cabin favours simplicity over technology, with a compact dashboard, upright seating and a high roofline that maximises headroom and cargo space for the car’s size. Boot capacity runs to 225 litres with the rear seats in place.
Fiat continues to sell the Panda alongside the newer, larger Grande Panda rather than retiring it, positioning the Pandina as the brand’s entry-level offering. List prices start from €16,400 for the City Life trim, with promotional pricing periodically bringing the entry point lower.
