The 2026 Jeep Cherokee returns to Jeep’s lineup as a full hybrid, dropping the gasoline-only engines offered in earlier generations. It measures 188.1 inches (4,778 mm) long, 74.7 inches (1,897 mm) wide, and 67.5 inches (1,715 mm) tall, seating five with 33.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats, expanding to 68.3 cubic feet with the seats folded.
Every Cherokee uses the same powertrain: a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine paired with two electric motors and a 1.03 kWh battery, driving a continuously variable transmission. Combined output is 210 hp and 312 Nm of torque, with the hybrid system capable of running on electric power alone at speeds up to 62 mph for short distances. Jeep’s full-time all-wheel-drive system is standard across the range. EPA-rated fuel economy comes in at 37 mpg combined, with a claimed total range of more than 500 miles.
The lineup runs across four trims, base, Laredo, Limited, and Overland, with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto standard across the range.
Pricing starts at approximately $35,000 for the base trim, rising through $38,000 for Laredo and $40,000 for Limited to $43,000 for the range-topping Overland, all before destination charge.
