The Nautilus is Lincoln’s two-row midsize SUV, sitting below the three-row Aviator and the full-size Navigator, and it is the brand’s best seller: 10,370 were sold in the United States in the second quarter of 2026, its best-ever second quarter, with nearly 65% of buyers coming from other premium brands. The current, second-generation car arrived for the 2024 model year and is built by the Changan Ford joint venture in Hangzhou, China, having moved there from Oakville, Ontario when Ford retooled that plant for electric vehicles.
Two powertrains are offered side by side, both built around the same 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder and both with all-wheel drive as standard. The petrol version makes 250 hp and 380 Nm through an eight-speed automatic. The hybrid pairs the same engine with a 100 kW electric motor and a CVT for a combined 285 hp; Lincoln publishes no combined torque figure for it. Neither changed for the 2027 model year.
The cabin is built around a 48-inch panoramic display spanning the base of the windscreen, with an 11.1-inch touchscreen below it in the centre of the dashboard. Front seats adjust 24 ways with memory and massage, and BlueCruise 1.5, Ford’s hands-off driving system for mapped highways, is standard with four years of service included. For 2027 Lincoln added three interior themes: Elysian Light, a pale scheme with blue accents, the desert-sunset Eminent Hour, and Afterglow.
The 2027 update is a facelift rather than a new car. It brings a wider grille with an illuminated Lincoln emblem, a redesigned hood, sculpted fenders and slimmer LED tail lights joined by a horizontal bar across the tailgate, with the Reserve and Black Label trims now given visibly different front-end treatments. Five wheel designs are offered, from 19 to 22 inches. Two colours are new: Nocturnal Blue across the range and Frosted Fig, a plum shade reserved for Black Label. Lincoln has not announced 2027 prices; the 2026 Premiere lists at $53,995 plus $2,295 for destination. The updated car reaches US dealers in early 2027.
