The Seat Ibiza is a supermini built on the Volkswagen Group’s MQB A0 platform, the same architecture underpinning the mechanically related Arona. Now in its fifth generation, the Ibiza received a second exterior facelift in late 2025, with a reworked hexagonal grille, slimmer full-LED headlights and a redesigned bumper, ahead of customer deliveries of the updated car beginning in January 2026.
Power comes exclusively from petrol engines. The entry-level 1.0 MPI produces 80 hp through a 5-speed manual, with a turbocharged 1.0 TSI available at 95 hp or 115 hp, the latter offered with either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DSG automatic. A 1.5-litre turbo four-cylinder tops the range at 150 hp, paired exclusively with the DSG gearbox. Seat has not announced a mild-hybrid or CNG version for this generation.
Three trim levels are offered: entry-level Ibiza, mid-range Style and the sportier-styled FR, with the facelift bringing LED taillights as standard equipment across the whole range for the first time.
The Ibiza is built alongside the Arona at Seat’s Martorell plant in Barcelona province, a factory that has produced the model since the current generation’s launch in 2017.
