Overview

The Toyota Crown Crossover is the SUV-styled member of Toyota’s revived Crown family in Japan, sold alongside the Sedan, Sport and Estate body styles introduced from 2022. It rides on the TNGA-K platform, the same architecture underneath the RAV4 and Highlander, measures 4,930 mm long on a 2,850 mm wheelbase, and pairs a raised ride height with a fastback roofline.

The G and Z grades run a fifth-generation Toyota Hybrid System: a 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine and electric motors on both axles, driving all four wheels through Toyota’s E-Four system for a combined 236 hp. The range-topping RS grade swaps in the Hybrid MAX system, a 2.4-litre turbocharged engine paired with a dual-motor hybrid drive, lifting output to 344 hp for the model’s quickest acceleration.

Every grade shares a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch central touchscreen running Toyota’s own multimedia system, with Toyota Safety Sense driver-assist standard across the lineup. The RS adds its own visual details, including red brake calipers and gloss-black exterior trim.

Japan pricing runs from ¥5,150,000 for the G grade, ¥5,950,000 for Z, and ¥6,700,000 for the RS. Toyota has a running update for the Crown family planned for around September 2026, reworking the two-tone paint layout and adding a small power increase to the standard hybrid grades.
