Overview

The P7 is the model Xpeng built its name on, and the second generation that went on sale in China in August 2025 is a much larger car than the original. It runs on the E29 platform with an 800V electrical architecture, measures 5,017 mm long on a 3,008 mm wheelbase, and takes the liftback shape rather than a conventional boot. Xpeng claims a drag coefficient of 0.201.

Three powertrain configurations are offered. The 702 and 820 versions are rear-drive, using a 270 kW (362 hp) motor with 465 Nm and either a 74.9 kWh LFP battery or a 92.2 kWh NMC pack, for 702 km and 820 km of CLTC range. The 750 versions add a front motor for a combined 437 kW (586 hp) and 695 Nm, reaching 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds with 750 km of claimed range. Top speed is 230 km/h and the cars weigh between 2,090 and 2,220 kg.

Driver assistance is handled by three of Xpeng’s own Turing chips, each rated at 750 TOPS, working from 12 cameras, three 4D millimetre-wave radars and 12 ultrasonic sensors, with no lidar on the roof. Dual-chamber air suspension is standard across the range.

The exterior keeps flush door handles and an active rear spoiler, and the top Wing Edition adds scissor doors with power closing, a matte Crescent Silver finish and darkened trim. Chinese prices run from 219,800 yuan for the 702 Ultra to 301,800 yuan for the Wing Edition. Xpeng showed the car in Europe at the Munich motor show in September 2025 but has not announced prices there.
