Nissan updated the Frontier for the 2027 model year and put it on sale in the US in June 2026. The powertrain is unchanged: a 3.8-litre V6 producing 314 hp and 381 Nm, paired with a 9-speed automatic. The updates are packaging and equipment.
Sport Edition. The new trim is a $990 package available on the SV grade. It draws visual cues from the Pro-4X: 17-inch black alloy wheels with Hankook Dynapro 265/70R17 all-terrain tires, an aluminum skid plate, LED fog lights, and black treatment for the grille, front bumper, and mirror housings. Inside, the Sport Edition adds yellow stitching and Sport badging on the seat backs. No off-road hardware changes - the Dynapro tires are the only upgrade with any real capability difference.
Other changes. The Pro-X and Pro-4X grades gain a sunroof option and wireless smartphone charging for 2027. Alpine Metallic is a new exterior colour available across the range.
Pricing. The lineup runs from $32,490 for the King Cab S in 4x2 to $42,690 for the Pro-4X Crew Cab 4x4. King Cab is available on the S grade only; all others use the Crew Cab. The Sport Edition SV starts at $37,480 in 4x2 form (SV 4x2 at $36,490 plus the $990 package).
