Nissan has cut the SV grade that opened the Murano range, so the 2027 line-up starts with the SL at $43,990 before a $1,545 destination charge. That is $2,320 above the 2026 entry point, even though the SL itself is $2,770 cheaper than the same trim was a year ago.
What each grade costs
The 2026 Murano ran SV at $41,670, SL at $46,760 and Platinum at $49,800. For 2027 it runs SL at $43,990, the new Dark Armor at $46,990 and Platinum at $49,790, all before destination, which itself rose from $1,495 to $1,545. So the mid-grade and top-grade cars are flat or cheaper, and the range still got more expensive to enter, because the cheapest version of it no longer exists. With destination the 2027 Murano starts at $45,535.
The Dark Armor grade
Dark Armor is the new middle rung and the reason for the shuffle. It runs 21-inch black wheels with grade-specific badging, gloss black exterior accents and perforated graphite Prima-Tex seats, heated and power-adjustable. Also included are acoustic front side glass, a panoramic moonroof, a 10-speaker Bose system, multi-colour ambient lighting, Qi2 wireless charging and the 12.3-inch NissanConnect screen with Google built in.
Mechanically unchanged
Every 2027 Murano uses the 2.0-litre VC-Turbo four-cylinder rated at 241 hp and 260 lb-ft (353 Nm), driving all four wheels through a 9-speed automatic. All-wheel drive is standard across the range, as it has been since the 2026 model year, when the front-drive version of the SV was dropped. The one addition for 2027 is a Snow Mode in the drive selector. Cars are reaching US dealers now from Nissan’s Smyrna plant in Tennessee.
The Nissan Murano is a two-row midsize SUV sold in North America. The fourth generation arrived for 2025 with a 241 hp 2.0-litre VC-Turbo engine and a 9-speed automatic. The 2027 range is all-wheel drive only, runs SL, Dark Armor and Platinum, and starts at $43,990 before destination.
