The Changan CS55 Plus is a compact SUV and one of Changan’s highest-volume nameplates, sold in more than 50 countries. It measures 4,550 mm long on a 2,656 mm wheelbase and has gone through several facelifts since the second-generation CS55 Plus launched in March 2021, with the current design marketed by Changan as the fourth generation.
Power comes from Changan’s 1.5-litre turbocharged Blue Whale engine, producing 141 kW (192 hp) and 310 Nm of torque, sent to the front wheels through a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. A 6-speed Aisin automatic is offered as an alternative in some markets.
In China, Changan also sells a plug-in hybrid CS55 Plus alongside the petrol version, pairing the same 1.5-litre engine with a dual-motor P1+P3 hybrid system and an 18.4 kWh battery for roughly 100 to 125 km of CLTC electric range. Export markets covered by this page focus on the standard petrol version.
The CS55 Plus is badged differently outside China in several markets, sold as the Changan UNI-S in the Middle East and as the Saipa 441P in Iran, while pricing in China for the petrol version starts from around ¥92,900.
