Overview

The 2026 Subaru Solterra carries over as Subaruโ€™s compact electric SUV, built alongside the Toyota bZ and Lexus RZ on the jointly developed e-TNGA platform. For 2026 the battery grows to 74.7 kWh, lifting EPA range to 288 miles, and a new Solterra XT trim brings the most power the nameplate has offered.

Standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive is fitted across the range. Premium and Limited trims use dual motors producing 233 hp, while the Limited XT and Touring XT step up to uprated motors for 338 hp combined and a 0-60 mph time under 5 seconds. Every Solterra charges through a NACS port, with DC fast charging up to 150 kW taking the battery from 10 to 80 percent in about 30 minutes, aided by a battery preconditioning system for cold weather.

Inside, all 2026 Solterras get a new 14-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, alongside Subaruโ€™s EyeSight driver-assistance suite. Limited trims add 20-inch wheels, a power rear gate and Harman Kardon audio.

Pricing starts at $38,495 for the Premium and rises to $45,555 for the range-topping Touring XT. The Solterra is assembled in Japan.
