Overview

The Suzuki Hustler is a kei-class SUV-styled hatchback, now in its second generation since 2020. Suzuki sells it alongside a visually ruggedised sibling, the Hustler Tough Wild, both already on sale in Japan. The 2026 update is a light mid-cycle refresh that changes styling and equipment only.

Power comes from a 660cc mild-hybrid inline-3, offered naturally aspirated at 49 hp or turbocharged at 64 hp, paired with a CVT and a choice of front-wheel or all-wheel drive - all carried over unchanged from before the refresh.

The Hustler gains a larger front grille and a new bumper with optional fog lights, plus an expanded color palette. The Tough Wild distinguishes itself with a grille of rectangular plates rather than horizontal slats, a Suzuki wordmark replacing the badge, and its own exclusive body color. Inside, both cars get updated trim materials; the touchscreen infotainment remains a paid option. Blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assistance are now standard, alongside improved steering feel and collision-avoidance software.

Prices for the Hustler run from ¥1,599,400 to ¥1,971,200 (roughly $10,000 to $12,350), while the Tough Wild spans ¥1,835,900 to ¥2,048,200 ($11,500 to $12,850).
