GWM has announced Italian prices for the Tank 300, its body-on-frame off-roader, at the Turin motor show. The range has two versions, both with four-wheel drive: the Premium Diesel at €46,500 (about $54,400) and the Hi4-T plug-in hybrid at €51,400 (about $60,100). The price list takes effect on October 10 and deliveries start in November 2026.
Diesel and plug-in hybrid
The diesel uses a 2.4-litre turbo engine with 181 hp (184 PS) and 480 Nm, driving through a nine-speed automatic. The Hi4-T pairs a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine with an electric motor for a combined 402 hp (408 PS) and 750 Nm, and reaches 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds. Its 37.1 kWh battery gives up to 95 km of WLTP electric range, and DC charging at up to 50 kW takes it from 30 to 80% in 24 minutes.
Both versions keep the low-range transfer case and front and rear differential locks, and can tow up to 2,500 kg.
How it differs from the Chinese Tank 300
Italy gets the standard-wheelbase Tank 300. In China, where the 2026 update went on sale in July, the plug-in hybrids now come only on the longer Tank 300L, and the Chinese 300L Hi4-T makes 415 hp (421 PS). The petrol version and the 751 hp Hi4-Z are not in the Italian range.
