UKJLR has named Mark Cameron to lead its United States and Canada business starting September 1, 2026. Cameron, a 15-year company veteran, most recently ran the Defender and Discovery brands globally and previously headed JLR Australia. He succeeds Joe Eberhardt, who ran the North American business for nearly 13 years.
The appointment lands alongside a new strategic push: North America already earns JLR more profit than any other region and accounts for around 28% of sales, and the company wants to grow the region to match the size of all of JLR’s current business worldwide within five years.
Cameron’s brief includes launching the Range Rover Electric, more compact Range Rover and Defender models, and relaunching Jaguar around its new electric GT, the Type 01. JLR still has no factory of its own in North America, leaving imported cars exposed to US tariffs - the company is in talks with Stellantis about jointly developing and building new models in the US.
Jaguar's first model of its all-electric relaunch, a four-door grand tourer built on the new JEA platform. Three motors put out around 1,000 hp, with a claimed WLTP range past 700 km. Prototypes have been testing publicly since May 2026; the full reveal is due October 2026 in New York, with customer deliveries starting in 2027.
