Chery Jaguar Land Rover priced its first Freelander-badged model from 339,900 yuan (about $50,100), rising to 429,900 yuan for the top six-seater. The venture had publicly aimed at the 300,000 yuan segment, and the entry car lands 13 percent above that target.

JLR has named 15-year company veteran Mark Cameron to lead its US and Canada business from September 1, 2026, succeeding Joe Eberhardt after nearly 13 years in the role. Cameron takes over as JLR wants to double North America's business within five years and prepares to launch the Range Rover Electric and the reborn Jaguar Type 01.

Jaguar Land Rover has confirmed the Discovery Sport will finish its production run in December 2026. Orders will close earlier in parts of Europe, where the model does not meet incoming EU safety rules.
