Jaguar Land Rover has confirmed the Discovery Sport will finish its production run in December 2026. Orders will close earlier in parts of Europe, where the model does not meet incoming EU safety rules. No direct successor is planned; JLR's electrification push centers on a new Freelander family developed with Chery.

Land Rover previewed the Range Rover GT, a fifth family member and the brand's first battery-electric Range Rover, on the new EMA platform with a lower, coupe-like body. Outlets that got early access describe a single 13in touchscreen, a semi-translucent console with wireless chargers, and 800V fast charging, though Land Rover itself has confirmed no numbers yet. Full specs and pricing are due later in 2026.

British tuner Urban Automotive debuted the Widetrack Avontur at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, converting a Land Rover Defender 110 Hard Top into a pickup with a hand-built carbon-fiber cargo bed, over 36 custom exterior parts and 23-inch wheels. It remains a prototype; Urban Automotive is taking orders but has not disclosed a price.
