Six years after the four-door GT’s V8 bow, Mercedes replaces it with an electric liftback that charges from 10 to 80 percent in 11 minutes — faster than most combustion stops at a German Autobahn rest area.
The platform is AMG.EA, built exclusively for AMG electric models and separate from the standard EQ architecture. It underpins two variants at launch.
AMG GT 55 — 816 hp / 1800 Nm. 0–100 km/h in 2.8 seconds. Range: up to 700 km WLTP.
AMG GT 63 — 1169 hp / 2000 Nm. 0–100 km/h in 2.4 seconds. Range: up to 696 km WLTP. Top speed for both: 300 km/h.
Configuration — three motors: one front, two rear (AWD). Battery: 106 kWh. Fast charge: 10–80% in 11 minutes.
Dimensions — 5094 mm long, 3040 mm wheelbase. Drag coefficient: Cx 0.22. Boot: 415 litres plus 41-litre frunk.
Design — headlights with a three-pointed star pattern and a through-light strip. Rear: six stars arranged in circles across the taillight bar.
Interior — 10.2” instrument display, 14” central screen, optional 14” passenger display.
Market — pricing not announced. Sales before the end of 2026. The Porsche Taycan Turbo GT starts at €195,000 in Germany; whether AMG positions above or below that will clarify the picture considerably.
