The Nissan Murano is a two-row midsize SUV built for North America. The fourth generation was revealed in October 2024 and went on sale for the 2025 model year, replacing the V6 and CVT combination that had defined the nameplate for two decades. It measures 4,900 mm long, 1,980 mm wide and 1,725 mm tall on a 2,825 mm wheelbase, and is assembled at Nissan’s Smyrna plant in Tennessee.
One powertrain covers the whole range. The 2.0-litre VC-Turbo four-cylinder varies its compression ratio between 8:1 and 14:1 depending on load, running the low ratio for power and the high one for efficiency, and produces 241 hp and 260 lb-ft (353 Nm). It drives a 9-speed automatic rather than the CVT the previous Murano used, and for 2027 all-wheel drive is standard on every grade, with a Snow Mode added to the drive selector.
Inside, two 12.3-inch screens sit side by side for the instruments and infotainment, the latter running NissanConnect with Google built-in. Dark Armor and Platinum add a 10-speaker Bose system, a panoramic moonroof, acoustic front side glass and multi-colour ambient lighting; Qi2 wireless charging is fitted on the upper grades.
The 2027 range is three grades. SL opens it at $43,990, Dark Armor sits in the middle at $46,990 with 21-inch black wheels and darkened exterior trim, and Platinum tops it at $49,790. All three prices exclude the $1,545 destination charge. The line-up shrank for 2027 with the removal of the SV grade, which had opened the 2026 range at $41,670.
