Renault has updated the Megane E-Tech Electric, and the meaningful change is one you cannot see. The hatchback keeps its CMF-EV platform and its production line at Renault’s ElectriCity hub in Douai, France, but swaps battery chemistry for the mid-life refresh.
The old 60 kWh NMC pack gives way to a 67 kWh LFP battery. WLTP range rises to 500 km, a gain of 39 km, and DC charging climbs from 130 kW to 165 kW, so a 15 to 80 percent top-up now takes about 24 minutes - roughly a quarter quicker than before. The single front motor is unchanged at 218 hp and 300 Nm, with 0 to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds and vehicle-to-load output standard.
Outside, the front bumper is redesigned around eight diamond-shaped daytime running lights in a staggered pattern, joined by a new grille and 3D rear lamps. Wheels are 19 or 20 inches. The cabin carries over, still built around a 12.3-inch driver display and a 12-inch portrait touchscreen with Google built-in, now adding Gemini AI. The Techno trim gains a heat pump; Esprit Alpine brings massage seats and Harman Kardon audio.
Pricing in France starts at about €37,000 (~$40,000). Orders open in July 2026, with deliveries from October.
