Renault has given the Megane E-Tech Electric its mid-life update, and the substance is under the floor rather than in the restyle. The hatchback keeps the CMF-EV platform it shares across the Renault-Nissan alliance and is still built at Renault’s ElectriCity hub in Douai, France. The change that matters is a switch in battery chemistry.
Powertrain - a single 218 hp (300 Nm) motor drives the front wheels, with 0 to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds and vehicle-to-load output standard. The new 67 kWh LFP pack replaces the previous 60 kWh NMC battery and lifts WLTP range to 500 km, a gain of 39 km. DC charging climbs to 165 kW from 130 kW, so a 15 to 80 percent top-up now takes about 24 minutes, roughly a quarter faster than before.
Interior - the cabin carries over largely unchanged: a 12.3-inch driver display and a 12-inch portrait touchscreen running Google built-in, now joined by Gemini AI. The Techno trim adds a heat pump; the Esprit Alpine version brings massage seats and a Harman Kardon audio system.
Exterior and price - the front bumper is redesigned, with eight diamond-shaped daytime running lights arranged in a staggered pattern, a new grille and 3D rear lamps. Wheels are 19 or 20 inches. Pricing in France starts at about €37,000 (~$40,000); orders open in July 2026 with deliveries from October.
