Rivian delivered 19,248 vehicles in the third quarter of 2026, the most it has delivered in any quarter. The previous record, 15,564, was set in the third quarter of 2023. Deliveries rose 58% from 12,194 in the second quarter and 46% from 13,201 a year earlier.
Production at the plant in Normal, Illinois, came to 19,751, up from 12,613 in the second quarter.
Rivian R2’s first full quarter of deliveries
Customer deliveries of the R2 began in June, so the third quarter is the first with three full months of the smaller SUV in the totals. Rivian does not split its figures by model, so how much of the increase came from the R2 rather than the R1T, R1S and the electric delivery van is not public.
Rivian’s 2026 delivery guidance
Rivian kept its forecast of 65,000 to 70,000 deliveries for the year, a range it raised in July from 62,000 to 67,000. With 41,807 delivered in the first nine months, meeting it takes roughly 23,200 to 28,200 deliveries in the fourth quarter, above the new quarterly record at either end of the range. Full third-quarter results are due on 29 October.
