smart presented the production #2 at the Paris Motor Show on 12 October and opened binding orders across Europe the next day. The entry price is 19,990 euros in Germany, France and Italy, and the trims in Germany step up through 20,990 and 24,490 euros to 25,690 euros for the Couture Edition, which is limited to 999 cars. Deliveries wait for EU homologation, which smart says is still under way.
What changed since July
Our July article, written before the reveal, carried an expected price “below 22,500 euros”, sales from spring 2027 and a spec sheet of four headline figures.

| Battery | 35.7 kWh | 35.8 kWh, LFP |
| DC charging, 10 to 80% | Under 20 minutes | 20 minutes at up to 65 kW |
smart says prices vary with local customs in each European sales region and exclude delivery and registration costs.

DC charging: 65 kW and 20 minutes
Charging from 10 to 80% moves 70% of the battery, or about 25 kWh on a 35.8 kWh pack. At the 65 kW peak that takes at least 23 minutes, so smart’s 20 minutes only works if the usable capacity is about 31 kWh or less. The release does not say whether 35.8 kWh is a gross or a usable figure, and smart labels the charging time as an optimal-conditions result.
Figures before homologation
The range, consumption and equipment lists are all marked preliminary until type approval is done, and smart will publish official figures then. Early orders carry no delivery date. smart says they come ahead of full market availability in 2027.
