Volkswagen opened European orders for the updated Caddy on 10 June 2026. This is the second facelift of the fourth-generation van, on sale since 2020, and the changes are cosmetic. The engine range carries over.
The platform is unchanged: MQB, in standard and long (Maxi) wheelbases. Body choices stay the same too, spanning the Cargo panel van, a five or seven-seat passenger version, the Flexible seating layout, and the California camper.
Engines. Petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid, all front-wheel drive. The petrol is a 1.5 TSI with 116 PS; the 2.0 TDI diesel comes in 102 PS and 122 PS forms. The eHybrid plug-in produces a system 150 PS and 350 Nm, with up to 122 km of electric-only range and more than 620 km combined.
Cabin. This is where the update lands. A new steering wheel with a flattened rim brings back physical buttons, ahead of a 10.25-inch digital cluster and a 12.9-inch infotainment display. Climate control moves to touch sliders. A 25-watt wireless charging pad and two 60-watt USB-C ports are standard. Outside, there are new 16 to 18-inch wheels, a revised colour palette, and a reworked bumper offered in two designs.
Pricing. In Germany the Cargo van starts at 31,511 euros (about $33,900) and the Maxi Cargo at 34,051 euros. The passenger Caddy opens at 34,200 euros, rising to 37,562 euros for the passenger Maxi. All figures include VAT. Prices for other European markets have not been announced.
