About

Brabus was founded in 1977 in Bottrop, in Germany’s Ruhr region, by Bodo Buschmann and Klaus Brackmann, and still has its headquarters there. It works mainly on Mercedes-Benz, Maybach and Smart vehicles. A customer can order a finished Brabus car or send their own car in for modification.

The work covers engine output, carbon-fibre body kits, wheels and interiors. The current flagship is a G-Class special, the Brabus P 900 Rocket Edition, a four-door pickup limited to 10 units.

No. Brabus GmbH is a privately held company in Bottrop, Germany. Engine output, bodywork, wheels and interior. The P 900 Rocket Edition shows the upper end: a 4.5-litre twin-turbo V8 at 900 hp in place of the stock G 63 engine, a carbon-fibre Widestar body kit, 24-inch wheels and a hand-trimmed leather and Alcantara interior.
Does Brabus build its own cars?
Its limited runs start from a Mercedes-AMG G-Class and rework the body into a coachbuilt shape, such as the four-door P 900 pickup, and the company says every Masterpiece is assembled at its Bottrop headquarters.
