Brabus has brought back the P 900 Rocket Edition, a pickup built on the current Mercedes-AMG G 63 (W 465), and says the new generation is limited to 10 cars worldwide. Mercedes does not sell a G-Class pickup, according to Autoevolution, so the body is Brabus’s own work: a coachbuilt four-door cab with an open cargo bed.
What Brabus changed
To make room for the bed, Brabus fitted an extension module to the G-Class steel ladder frame, which lengthens the wheelbase by 500 mm. A 4.5-litre twin-turbo V8 makes 900 hp (662 kW) and 1,250 Nm, though torque is electronically limited to 1,050 Nm inside the car. The bed has carbon-fibre side panels and soft-teak decking, and the body wears the exposed-carbon Widestar kit on 24-inch Monoblock II EVO wheels. The specification is on the Brabus P 900 page.
Price and numbers
One of the pictured cars is listed in Germany at 711,718 euros excluding VAT, according to Autoevolution. Brabus does not publish a price on its own page. It quotes 3.7 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h, and electronically limits top speed to 240 km/h.
