The Brabus P 900 Rocket Edition is a coachbuilt pickup on the current Mercedes-AMG G 63 (W 465), made by Brabus at its Bottrop headquarters in a run of 10 cars. The “P” stands for pickup: Brabus engineered an extension module for the G-Class steel ladder frame, lengthening the wheelbase by exactly 500 mm, and fitted a four-door cab with an open cargo bed.
Brabus P 900 engine and performance
The 4.5-litre twin-turbo V8 is Brabus’s increased-displacement Rocket 900 engine, rated at 900 hp (662 kW) and 1,250 Nm. Torque is electronically limited to 1,050 Nm inside the vehicle. A nine-speed automatic and permanent all-wheel drive take the pickup from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, and top speed is electronically limited to 240 km/h. Brabus RideControl aluminium coilovers, calibrated for the low-profile tyres, lower the truck by about 45 mm against the base vehicle.
Brabus P 900 body and interior
The cargo floor and side-opening tailgate are metal. The bed’s side panels are prepreg carbon fibre, and the bed carries soft-teak decking with red Brabus lettering and two lockable, waterproof cargo boxes behind the cab. The exposed-carbon Rocket Edition Widestar kit widens the body, and the 24-inch Brabus Monoblock II EVO wheels measure 10Jx24 at the front and 12Jx24 at the rear. Inside is a Brabus Masterpiece interior in black leather and Alcantara with red stitching and quilted seats.
