About
Ceer was launched in November 2022 by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman as Saudi Arabia’s first national car brand. It is owned by the Public Investment Fund and was formed in partnership with Foxconn, which develops the platform and electrical architecture. The name means “drive forward” in Arabic.
The company does not build its cars alone. It licenses component technology from BMW under an agreement signed in 2022. The first two models, the Exobot sedan and SUV, were revealed on 21 September 2026, about two years later than the 2025 launch the brand originally promised.
Both cars will be built at a new plant in King Abdullah Economic City, where production starts in January 2027. Ceer targets 45% local content by 2034 and plans seven models by 2030.
