About

O.S.C.A., short for Officine Specializzate Costruzione Automobili, was founded in Bologna in 1947 by Ernesto, Ettore and Bindo Maserati, who had left the Maserati company after their family’s ten-year contract with its new owners expired. Working with small-displacement engines, O.S.C.A. built race and sports cars that competed at the Mille Miglia, the Targa Florio and Le Mans before the company closed in 1967.

DR Automobiles revived the name in 2026 as part of Historic Italian Brands, a project led by DR founder Massimo Di Risio that also brought back Itala. The new O.S.C.A. sells SUVs built from Chinese donor cars rather than the small sports cars of the original marque, starting with the MT6, a Changan UNI-T reworked by Fabbrica Italia and Italdesign. A larger MT8 and a dedicated sports model, planned for 2027, are next.

Assembly is planned at Macchia d’Isernia in Molise, at the same Fabbrica Italia facilities building the revived Itala. The brands share a dedicated sales network, with the first showroom opening in Turin in May 2026.
