Telo Trucks is a US electric-vehicle startup based in San Carlos, California, in the San Francisco Bay Area. It was founded in 2022 by Jason Marks, a former automotive safety and validation engineer, and Forrest North, a former Tesla battery engineer, together with the designer Yves Behar.
The company’s single product is the MT1, a four-door, five-seat electric pickup that Telo describes as a mini truck. Telo builds its own battery packs in-house and is having its body structure built by a US supplier, Schwab Industries in Michigan, according to The Verge’s October 2026 first drive. The MT1 is still a pre-production truck: Telo has more than 14,000 reservations and plans to start customer deliveries in 2027.
