The Acura MDX is a three-row midsize SUV and Acura’s flagship model, built on Honda’s global light-truck platform and sold mainly in the United States, Canada and China. It seats up to seven and measures 5,039 mm long on a 2,891 mm wheelbase.

Most trims use a 3.5-liter V6 producing 290 hp and 362 Nm of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard on the base and Technology trims, while Acura’s SH-AWD system comes standard on the A-Spec, Advance and Type S trims. The Type S sits at the top of the range with a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 rated at 355 hp and 480 Nm, four-piston Brembo front brakes, and its own exterior and interior detailing.

Cabin technology includes a digital instrument cluster, a widescreen center display, and Acura’s True Touchpad Interface for infotainment control. Higher trims add a head-up display and a premium audio system.

Pricing for the MDX starts at $53,250 and rises to $75,850 for the Type S with the Advance package, positioning it against three-row luxury SUVs such as the Lexus TX, Infiniti QX60 and Volvo XC90.
