Overview

The Arcfox Beta T1 is the facelifted version of BAIC’s cheapest electric car, updated in June 2026 barely nine months after the original T1 launched. The name gains “Beta”, but the car remains a compact, budget-focused electric hatchback for the Chinese market.

Size. The body grows to 4,375 mm long, 38 mm more than before, on an unchanged 2,770 mm wheelbase, and is 1,860 mm wide. Ground clearance is 153 mm on 17-inch wheels or 181 mm on the 18-inch option.

Powertrain. A single front-mounted motor produces 129 hp (96 kW). Two lithium batteries are offered at launch: 36.4 kWh for 350 km of CLTC range, and 42.3 kWh for 450 km. A 550 km version is promised later.

Inside. The previous floating console is replaced by a two-tier centre tunnel. There is an 8.8-inch instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch central touchscreen. Three trim levels run from climate control on the base car to ventilated seats and automatic emergency braking at the top.

Prices in China run from 62,800 to 79,800 yuan (about $9,300 to $11,800). The car has not been announced for export.
