The Nuvolari replaces the R8 as Audi’s flagship supercar and is named after the pre-war Italian racing driver Tazio Nuvolari. Production is capped at 499 cars.
It uses the platform of the Lamborghini Temerario, an aluminium spaceframe with carbon-fibre body panels, but the body, interior, and chassis tuning are Audi’s own. An active rear wing generates more than 400 kg of downforce.
Powertrain. A 4.0L twin-turbo V8 making 800 hp works with three electric motors of 150 hp each, for 1001 hp combined. Drive goes to all four wheels through an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox, with a 7.3 kWh battery and four modes: E-Hybrid, Balanced, Dynamic, and Dynamic+. Audi quotes 0-100 km/h in 2.6 seconds and a top speed above 350 km/h.
Chassis. Adaptive suspension with Nuvolari-specific tuning, carbon-ceramic brakes (420 mm front, 410 mm rear), and Bridgestone Potenza Sport tyres.
Interior. Suede and polished aluminium, with seats built on carbon-fibre shells.
Pricing has not been announced. Audi expects more than €500,000. Deliveries start in the first half of 2027.
