Avatr 06T platform and positioning
The 06T is Avatr’s first wagon, a five-seat sports touring estate that went on sale in China on 22 April 2026. It is based on the Avatr 06 sedan. Avatr Australia has confirmed the 06T for the second half of 2027, after the 07L SUV in the first half. No Australian price has been announced. Avatr has also said the 07L and the 06T lead its European rollout.
Avatr 06T powertrain and range
The electric range starts with a rear-drive dual-motor car. The Elite makes 450 kW with a 72.9 kWh lithium iron phosphate pack, rated at 652 km on China’s CLTC cycle. The Max and Max+ raise output to 502 kW (673 hp) with Avatr’s 89.33 kWh CATL pack, rated at 741 km CLTC and 3.9 seconds from 0-100 km/h. The pack is rated on a 1/3C discharge, and some outlets quote the same battery as 87.3 kWh. CarExpert gives NEDC ranges of 620 km and 710 km for the two packs.
The Performance adds a third motor up front for all-wheel drive, 712 kW (955 hp) and 996 Nm. It reaches 100 km/h in 2.78 seconds and is rated at 680 km CLTC. The pack sits on an 800-volt platform and Avatr quotes 30-80% in under 10 minutes. A range-extended version pairs a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine with a 46.65 kWh CATL pack and 370 kW. It is rated at 330 km on electricity alone and 1,250 km combined, both CLTC.
Inside the Avatr 06T
The cabin is built around four screens: a 35.4-inch 4K panoramic display across the base of the windshield, a 15.6-inch floating central screen and two 6.7-inch screens for the camera mirrors. Software is Huawei’s HarmonySpace 5. The front seats are zero-gravity units with 14-way adjustment, heating, ventilation, massage and memory. Three interior themes are offered: Twilight Purple with Smoke White, Deep Purple and Dai Red.
Avatr 06T design
Avatr describes the shape as inspired by a diving peregrine falcon: a bonnet that dives forward, a low roofline and a wide stance. The 06T has a conventional rear window, with a wiper tucked under the roof spoiler. Door handles are semi-hidden, and camera mirrors are an option. The air suspension can raise the body by up to 60 mm from its standard height.
Avatr 06T driver assistance
Avatr lists Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 5 system, with an 896-line lidar and 4D millimetre-wave radar. The lidar can pick out a 14 cm obstacle at 120 m. Every trim carries nine airbags.
Avatr 06T price and trims
The four electric trims launched in China at 219,900 yuan (~$32,700) for the Elite, 239,900 yuan (~$35,600) for the Max, 259,900 yuan (~$38,600) for the Max+ and 279,900 yuan (~$41,600) for the Performance. The range-extended version starts at 239,900 yuan (~$35,600).
