The second-generation Kia Seltos was unveiled on December 10, 2025, and reached Korean showrooms first in January 2026, ahead of a rollout to India and Europe later in the year. It is a subcompact SUV measuring 4,460 mm long on a 2,690 mm wheelbase, built on a new platform with a redesigned exterior that trades the outgoing model’s round driving lights for a vertical LED signature. North America is the exception: the first-generation Seltos (sold since 2019) continues there for the 2026 model year while Kia stages the wider rollout.
The petrol lineup opens with a 149 hp 2.0-litre naturally aspirated engine and steps up to a 1.6-litre turbo in Standard Output (180 hp, 265 Nm) and High Output (193 hp, 265 Nm) tunes, paired with a 6-speed manual, 7-speed dual-clutch, or 8-speed automatic depending on market. Front-wheel drive is standard, with all-wheel drive available on the X-Line trim. A 141 hp hybrid, pairing a 1.6-litre engine with an electric motor and a 6-speed DCT, is scheduled to join the Korean lineup during 2026. India also gets a turbodiesel option. Kia has not published official 0-100 km/h or top-speed figures for any variant.
Inside, the Seltos carries over Kia’s current design language with a wide dual-screen dashboard combining the instrument cluster and infotainment display, along with ambient lighting strips along the door panels and centre console. The car supports vehicle-to-load (V2L) power output and Kia’s latest Smart Regenerative Braking system on hybrid models.
Korean pricing opens at around ₩24.77 million (~$17,900) for the base Trendy trim, rising to about ₩35.84 million (~$25,900) for the range-topping X-Line. India pricing opened from ₹10.99 lakh (~$11,500) at its January 2026 launch.
