Overview

The Corsair is the entry point to the Lincoln range, a compact SUV below the Nautilus, the Aviator and the Navigator. It shares its underpinnings with the Ford Escape and has been sold since 2019. For the 2027 model year the North American car changes in two ways at once: it becomes hybrid-only, and it becomes an import. Ford ended Corsair and Escape production at its Louisville Assembly Plant in Kentucky on 17 December 2025, and the Corsair now comes from the Changan Ford joint venture in Chongqing, which has been building the Chinese-market car since the plant opened in 2012.

One powertrain is offered. A 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder works with two electric motors through a continuously variable automatic transmission for a combined 305 hp, with all-wheel drive standard. That is a conventional hybrid with no charging port, and it replaces both the 250 hp petrol Corsair and the 266 hp plug-in Grand Touring that the previous range offered. Lincoln does not publish a combined torque figure, and EPA fuel-economy ratings for the 2027 car have not been released.

Inside, the Corsair keeps a layout Lincoln uses on no other current model: a digital instrument display behind the wheel and a separate 13.2-inch touchscreen in the middle of the dashboard, with piano-key gear selectors below it. Dual-zone climate control and heated, power-adjustable front seats are standard. The Reserve adds 24-way front seats with heating, ventilation and Active Motion massage, a one-piece seat design and Black Satin Ash wood trim, and a head-up display and a 14-speaker Revel audio system are on the options list. BlueCruise 1.5, Ford’s hands-off driving system for mapped highways, is standard on both trims.

The exterior is the facelift already applied to the Chinese Corsair: reshaped front and rear bumpers, a more sculpted hood, a mesh grille that the headlamps now run into, and three new wheel designs in 18, 19 and 20 inches. Five paint colours are new, Chroma Flame Red, Manhattan Green, Nocturnal Blue, Tinted Copper and White Platinum, and a Jet Appearance Package blacks out the grille and exterior brightwork. Two trims are sold: Premiere from $46,495 and Reserve from $53,495, each before a $2,295 destination charge. Deliveries begin in early 2027.

The US car uses a 2.0-litre hybrid with all-wheel drive and 305 hp, and keeps a US dashboard layout with a separate instrument display and a 13.2-inch centre touchscreen.
