Nissan has refreshed the Z for the 2027 model year in the US. With the Toyota Supra and BMW Z4 leaving the market this year, the Z is now one of the few affordable sports coupes left - and the headline change is that the Nismo finally gets a manual gearbox.
The Sport and Performance trims get a new bumper and a Datsun-style grille, the Nissan badge swapped for a Z logo, and a new Shinkai Green Pearl Metallic paint (black roof only). Performance adds forged 19” wheels, a tan interior, and larger monotube dampers.
The Nismo is the bigger story: a six-speed manual, a retuned VR30DDTT for sharper response, GT-R front brake discs (8.6 kg lighter), a steering rack with 20% less friction, and a new Sport-mode exhaust note. Full Nismo specs have not been announced.
Power comes from a 3.0L twin-turbo V6 with 400 hp and 350 Nm, paired with either a six-speed manual or a nine-speed automatic. Pricing for 2027 has not been announced; the current car starts around $44,000, with the Nismo from $67,000. Deliveries reach dealers in summer 2026.
