The Tundra is Toyota’s full-size pickup, refreshed for the 2027 model year with new front-end styling, a standard 14-inch touchscreen, a built-in dashcam, 5G connectivity, Toyota Safety Sense 4.0, and new Rigid fog lights across the range.
Two V6 powertrains carry over: the 3.4-litre twin-turbo i-FORCE, rated at 389 hp and 649 Nm, and the hybrid i-FORCE MAX version of the same engine, which raises output to 437 hp and 790 Nm. Both pair with a 10-speed automatic.
The 2027 update’s headline addition is Trailhunter, an off-road package built on the SR5 trim that had previously been reserved for the Tacoma, 4Runner, and Land Cruiser. It adds Old Man Emu suspension, 18-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin LTX Trail tires, reinforced skid plates, front tow hooks, a locking rear differential, and Toyota’s Multi-Terrain Select and Crawl Control off-road systems.
Toyota has not released pricing or a full spec sheet for the Trailhunter trim, saying further details will arrive closer to its planned fall 2026 on-sale date.
