Triton platform and positioning
The Mitsubishi Triton is a double-cab pickup on sale in Thailand since July 2023 and Australia since February 2024. Europe and the UK sell the same truck under the older L200 badge, brought back in 2026 after Mitsubishi withdrew the previous generation from the region in 2021.
Triton powertrain
Every European L200 runs one engine, a 2.4-litre bi-turbo diesel with no hybrid assistance, rated at 204 PS (150 kW) and 470 Nm of torque, paired with 4WD. UK cars run a 6-speed automatic gearbox on both trims; Germany’s Diamant is a 6-speed manual, with the Diamant Top automatic. The entry trim in each market, Titan and Diamant, uses Mitsubishi’s Easy Select 4WD.
Triton price and trims
UK sales began in May 2026 with two trims: Titan from £36,295 (~$49,700) and Barbarian from £39,995 (~$54,800), both on the road excluding VAT. Germany uses different trim names for the same truck. The Diamant starts at €39,990 with a 6-speed manual; the Diamant Top starts at €52,990 with a 6-speed automatic and 18-inch alloy wheels, reaching German dealers from November 2026.
Mitsubishi backs every L200 with a 5-year warranty. The German car is capped at 100,000 km, with a paid extension to 8 years and 160,000 km available through the dealer network; the UK car covers 62,500 miles after its first two years unlimited, and also carries 5 years of pan-European breakdown cover.
