The Wildlander is GAC Toyota’s China-market compact SUV, built on the same TNGA-K platform as the global RAV4 and measuring 4,600 mm long on a 2,690 mm wheelbase. It launched its current generation in November 2025 and sits alongside a separate, similarly-based model sold by Toyota’s other Chinese joint venture, FAW Toyota, under the RAV4 Rongfang name.
Three powertrains are offered. The base trim uses a plain 2.0-litre petrol engine with 169 hp and no electrification. Above it sit two hybrid options built on Toyota’s fifth-generation THS hybrid system: a 2.0-litre front-wheel-drive hybrid rated at 193 hp, and a 2.5-litre hybrid flagship that adds Toyota’s E-Four electric all-wheel-drive system for 236 hp.
Cabin equipment on higher trims includes a 15.6-inch central touchscreen, a panoramic sunroof, semi-aniline leather seats with heating and ventilation, dual-zone climate control, facial recognition, and voice command support across four zones of the cabin.
Official guided pricing for the 2026 Wildlander runs from ¥169,800 to ¥230,800 (~$25,200–34,300), with the hybrid versions covering most of that range.
