The Volkswagen ID.3 is a compact electric hatchback built on the Volkswagen Group’s MEB platform, sold across Europe since 2020 and updated for the 2026 model year with a revised lineup of Pure, Pro, and GTX trims. It measures 4,261 mm long on a compact hatchback footprint, positioning it against other European C-segment EVs.
The entry Pure uses a 52 kWh battery and a 170 hp rear motor for 388 km of WLTP range. The Pro steps up to a 59 kWh battery and 204 hp, reaching 434 km. At the top, the GTX carries a 79 kWh battery and a 285 hp rear motor, extending WLTP range to 604 km, the longest in the lineup. All versions support DC fast charging, with the largest battery accepting up to 183 kW.
Inside, the ID.3 carries Volkswagen’s updated infotainment software and driver-assistance suite introduced across the refreshed ID range, with a redesigned dashboard layout compared to the car’s original 2020 launch version.
Pricing in Germany starts from €36,900 for the Pure and rises to €50,795 for the GTX, with European deliveries beginning in July 2026.
