Ford has opened a preorder invite list for the Fathom, the first model on its Universal Electric Vehicle (UEV) platform, according to Electrek. Official preorders open in early 2027. The invite list is a sign-up for updates ahead of those preorders.
Price and what is standard
The standard-range battery model starts at $28,350. Adding the $1,595 destination fee brings it to $29,945, still under $30,000. The price is before incentives and dealer fees, and Ford has not published prices for any other battery or trim.
Every Fathom is BlueCruise-capable for hands-free highway driving and offers bidirectional charging. The battery uses lithium iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry, which contains no cobalt or nickel, and the pack forms the floor of the truck. Electrek reports an NACS charging port, after test mules were seen at a Tesla Supercharger over the summer. The cabin has a large touchscreen with built-in Apple Maps navigation, plus Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
