Genesis has expanded on the Magma GT, the concept that previews a future flagship supercar for Hyundai Motor Group. It revealed the car’s interior for the first time and showed a separate GT3 racing concept. Magma is the brand’s performance sub-brand, launched in 2024 as Genesis’s answer to Audi Sport, BMW M and Mercedes-AMG. The Magma GT itself is still a concept.
The setting
The reveal was timed to the 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans, where Genesis stepped up to the Hypercar class for the first time with its GMR-001 prototype, finishing 13th. Production Magma GT models are expected in roughly two years, alongside the racing GT3.
Inside the Magma GT
The cabin leans deliberately analogue. It uses a twin-cockpit layout, quilted leather and instrument dials styled after motorsport chronographs rather than the large central screens that dominate most modern interiors. Large steering-wheel paddles sit behind the rim, and the gear selector is shaped to mimic a manual shifter.
The GT3 concept
Shown for the first time, the GT3 is built around aggressive aerodynamics: side canards, vents over the wheel arches, a fixed rear wing and a full-width diffuser. Genesis says it was designed from the ground up to GT3 regulations rather than adapted from the road car.
Powertrain
The only confirmed hardware is a petrol V8. Genesis has not released outputs, transmission details or weights for either the road or racing concept.
