Overview

The Genesis Magma GT is a concept that previews a future flagship supercar for Hyundai Motor Group. It is the most ambitious project yet from Magma, the performance sub-brand Genesis launched in 2024 as its answer to Audi Sport, BMW M and Mercedes-AMG. As of mid-2026 the Magma GT remains a concept, with production versions expected in roughly two years.

The car’s reveal was timed to the 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans, where Genesis stepped up to the Hypercar class for the first time with its GMR-001 prototype and finished 13th. At the same event Genesis showed the interior of the Magma GT for the first time and unveiled a separate GT3 racing concept built from the ground up to GT3 regulations.

The cabin leans deliberately analogue. It uses a twin-cockpit layout, quilted leather and instrument dials styled after motorsport chronographs rather than the large central screens that dominate most modern interiors. Large paddles sit behind the steering-wheel rim and the gear selector is shaped to mimic a manual shifter.

On hardware, Genesis has confirmed little. A petrol V8 is the only powertrain detail released; outputs, transmission and weight are all still undisclosed for both the road concept and the GT3 racer.
